| 内容記述 | The Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS), with support from the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, implemented a joint research project with the National Irrigation Commission (NIRC) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Arusha Technical University (ATC), and the Kilimanjaro Agricultural Training Centre (KATC). These guidelines are the outcome of this project, and in addition to maintaining and strengthening the functionality of existing irrigation and drainage facilities, they aim to establish sustainable development methods using renewable energy and other technologies, expand irrigated areas and improve the efficiency of water use, leading to their dissemination and expansion to other African countries. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
