内容記述 The Mae Ka Silvicultural Research Station in Phayao Province has more than 1,000 rai of teak plantation trial plots. During the dry season, large quantities of dry teak leaves fall from trees. Utilization of these dry teak leaves could provide an alternative approach to reducing forest fire fuel loads. The purpose of this research was to develop a rapidly decomposing teak leaf compost (TLC) formulation through animal manure addition to the TLC heap. Therefore, we conducted two studies: 1) formula and decomposition experiment, 2) TLC formula experiment by adding animal waste and decomposition. The study of organic chemical values included organic matter, organic carbon, carbon to nitrogen ratio, total nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and calcium. Analysis of variance was conducted using the analysis of variance method, with the results compared against organic fertilizer standards. Study 1 results indicated that average organic chemical values differed significantly among all four formulas (p < 0.05), with significant effects observed for the teak leaves + EM solution + water formula. TLC demonstrated faster decomposition than the other formulations. The second study found that the treatments using cow dung with an EM solution and chicken dung with an EM solution, which were fermented for four months, increased the total nitrogen content to more than 1%, allowing the TLC to meet the standards for organic fertilizer. The study results indicate that teak leaves are suitable for compost production and can reduce fuel loads that contribute to forest fires.
