| 内容記述 | Successful tree planting requires meticulous planning at the project level, including the selection of suitable species with beneficial traits. However, at present, comprehensive tree breeding data of tropical species are lacking. In this study, an experimental common garden of Rubroshorea leprosula was established to explore the traits related to growth performance, which are key factors influencing planting success. Seedlings of R. leprosula were collected from nine geographical forest reserves. In studying the effects of genetic variation, the seedlings were planted in a common environment following a randomized complete block design. Based on the performance data collected from 2017 to 2019, one population showed the highest coefficient for relative height growth, which is significantly higher than most of the other populations. The height heritability ranged from 0.510 to 0.761 across the age. This study provides preliminary results on the growth performance of R. leprosula and the first common garden experiment site conducted on dipterocarp species. Such results provide a foundation for genome-wide association studies. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
